Sustainability

A brighter tomorrow is a world that exudes well-being. Together, we can achieve this – one footstep at a time. We have embarked on an arduous journey but we are not afraid to continuously scale up our efforts to protect and preserve our beloved Mauritius. Through our sustainability programme ‘Now For Tomorrow’, we pledge for a better future. This promise is etched in our DNA and actions. Now is the time to make the right choices, so that Tomorrow, a new dawn will bloom.

Our Commitments

Paving the way for responsible hospitality

We have built our commitments on a foundation of love,  caring and respect for our planet and people. Today more than ever,  our approach focuses on creating a positive impact in essential areas organised around 5 pillars:  energy transition,  biodiversity,  circular economy,  vibrant communities and inclusive development.

Energy Transition

We are on a journey towards a low carbon future. Treading lightly, we implement all the means necessary to improve our energy efficiency. Our aim is to:

Biodiversity

Because nature’s future is our future, and we have at heart the protection and preservation of our island’s beautiful biodiversity, we are committed to:

Circular

Economy

Nothing is lost as long as it is transformed. In the same vein, we are committed to help reshape Mauritius into a circular island by preventing pollution and adopting smart agricultural practices.

To help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we have been composting green waste, turning it into 100% natural fertilisers.
TOWARDS ZERO ORGANIC WASTE
To date, we have successfully avoided the use of over 27 tonnes of plastic bottles thanks to our inhouse water bottling plant in Bel Ombre.
TOWARDS ZERO SINGLE-USE PLASTICS
We have adopted a clear and efficient sustainable procurement strategy, supported by a set of guidelines designed to help identify green and sustainable solutions.
SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT POLICY

Inclusive Development

We work hand in hand with women and men, youngsters and communities to help each and every one thrive. On our quest for inclusive development, we have implemented a number of initiatives, namely:

Vibrant Communities

We value our rich cultural and historical heritage, and believe that local art is part of our legacy. Hence, we consider that it is our duty to:

Our

efforts into action
